Woman arrested for fighting
Officers responding to a report of a disturbance about 1:20 a.m.Thursday found two women on the ground fighting. One of the women had a cut above one knee.
The officers separated the women. They called paramedics to check out the injured woman and they then issued her a citation causing a disturbance.
The second woman fought with the officers when they tried to detain her. She was taken to jail on charges of fighting in public, resisting arrest and two outstanding warrants.

1300 block of South Loop 288 - A woman reported that she left her purse on the seat of her locked car while she visited a business just before noon Thursday.When she returned she discovered that someone had broken her car window and stole her handbag. Her friend's car was parked next to hers, according to the report. The friend's car window was broken as well but nothing was taken.
