Theft trades up

A man who lives in the 3300 block of Evers Parkway  reported Monday morning that someone came into his garage and stole a bicycle. The garage door was open and the victim believed the burglary took place between 7 and 10 a.m. The thief left a children's bicycle behind, according to the police report.

Other reports

3600 block of Country Club Road - A man called police Monday to report that a woman who was staying with him had threatened him harm. The woman was not at the house when an officer arrived but the victim turned over identification cards, credit cards and blank checks he said the woman had that did not belong to her.

500 block of Retama Street - Communications officers lost contact late Monday morning after a woman called to say that her boyfriend had hit her. When the dispatchers were able to reach the woman again she said the boyfriend had taken her phone from her, disconnected it, and hit her again. Responding officers arrested the man on charges of family violence assault and interfering with an emergency call.

1100 block of Fort Worth Drive - An officer on foot patrol and a bar Monday night was flagged down by a witness who said he believed two men were smoking crack cocaine behind the bar. The officer checked and found the two men, ages 63 and 53, sharing a pipe of marijuana. Both men had outstanding warrants and the officer arrested them. He found weapons on both men and added charges of unlawfully carrying a weapon.

2700 block of Colorado Boulevard - Someone threw a brick though his apartment window, a 23-year-old man reported about 11:30 Monday night. The man had no idea who threw the brick.
