Police search for rock vandals

Two people called police about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday to report that someone threw rocks at their vehicles as they drove eastbound in the 2500 block of East University Drive. Officers arrived and found no one in the area. However, they found a cache of rocks piled up as ammunition where the vandals had been. An investigation is continuing.

2200 block of Brinker Road - A 46-year-old woman told police Wednesday that she tried to make an appointment with her doctor and was refused. She was told that someone had been filling her prescriptions at drugstores in numerous cities. It was not her, she told arriving officers. She was in jail at the time.

3400 block of Mustang Drive - She was trying to sell a wedding dress on Craig's List, a woman told police. She was asking $800 for it. A woman purchased it but when her check arrived it was made out for $2,800. Her bank told her the check was a forgery.

3200 block of Club View Drive - A woman reported Wednesday that she sold a piece of furniture on E-Bay. The purchaser sent it back and it had been damaged. The purchaser made a claim to E-Bay and her money was refunded. Meanwhile, the victim cannot resell the furniture because it is damaged.

2600 block of Mayhill Road - He applied for a loan online, a man reported Wednesday, and he had to send along money for an application fee. The online loan company denied his loan and kept his money, he said.
