Man tries to eat evidence
An officer was suspicious when he saw marijuana leaves on a man's shirt and in his lap Tuesday night so he asked him to step out of his car. He had made a traffic stop in the 300 block of South I-35 about 11:15 p.m. when he saw the man fail to use his turn signal. Once the driver was out of the car the officer could see marijuana leaves in the seat of the car as well. He could see that the man was chewing something, so he asked him to open his mouth. His tongue and the inside of his mouth were coated with marijuana. The driver admitted he tried to eat his stash when he saw the red lights come on behind him. He was taken to jail on a charge of possession of marijuana.
