THE COP SHOP

Not the floorboard ladies!

Putting your handbag on the floorboard of your car does not create a theft-free zone around it, a woman found out early Monday. The woman left her car in a restaurant parking lot from about 11:30 p.m. Sunday to 12:30 a.m. Monday. She placed her handbag on the floor. When she went back to her car she found that someone had smashed out a window and had taken the purse. Police advise that if a handbag absolutely must be left in a vehicle, you should lock it in the trunk.
