After hours arrest

An officer checking Eureka Park after official closing hours Monday found a car with three teens inside about 11:50 p.m. The driver claimed to be 18 years old but a computer check showed he was only 17. He was smoking a cigarette in front of the officer. He was charged with a violation of the city park hours code, failure to identify and being underage while smoking.

600 block of Bernard Street - A man reported that someone stole his guitar from his car Monday evening.
5300 block of East McKinney Street - Someone used a woman's identification to obtain a job, she told police Monday. Now the IRS is sending her letters demanding payment of taxes on the earnings.
