Other reports

3400 block of Joyce Lane - Officers sorted out the stories of a pair of roommates early Wednesday and decided to send the male roommate to spend the night at another place. Both the man and woman called 911 about 12:30 a.m. to report that the other had assaulted them. The man said he accidentally bumped her in passing and she started hitting him in the face. He fought back in self defense, he said, and damaged her vacuum cleaner in retribution. The woman said he broke her vacuum cleaner and she tried to intervene. He attacked her, she said, and she fought back. Both had small scratches to show for the encounter. He told the officers he would stay somewhere else for the night so they could both cool down.

2000 block of Winthrop Hill Road - An Argyle man said that his partner in a Denton business has cheated him out of more than $100,000 since  October 2012.

3400 block of Joyce Lane - Someone took a man's wallet from his unlocked car that had the windows rolled down sometime between July 7 and Wednesday, according to a police report. There was no evidence of the identity of the suspect.
9100 block of Teasley Lane - Police took a woman to jail on a family violence assault charge after her husband called to report that she slashed him with a knife. The man said they were arguing over her relationship with another man and when he tried to leave she picked up a knife and cut him with it. Paramedics treated his wound at the scene but he refused to be taken to a hospital emergency room for further treatment.
