Woman says burglary wasn't her fault

A 72-year-old man came home about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and discovered a woman inside his house in the 500 block of Ruth Street. The woman had gathered his medications and was in the act of stealing them. The woman apologized, the victim said. She showed him a broken window in the back of his house and explained that a man broke the window and asked her to go inside and steal the meds. The victim knows the man, he said, and he wants to press charges against him.

600 block of Bradshaw Street - A man cannot find his trailer, he said, and his son had an explanation. The son said he loaned the trailer to another man. When he asked the other man about bringing it back, the other man told him that he did return the trailer but the son was passed out at the time. There is no sign of the trailer.

1000 block of Manhattan Street - A woman reported Wednesday that her 9-year-old daughter is being stalked by a 9-year-old classmate.

700 block of Fort Worth Drive - Someone threw a tire jack through the back windshield of a Grand Prairie man's car, he reported Wednesday about 4:15 a.m. The jack did substantial damage.

1000 block of Dallas Drive - An officer made a traffic stop about 2:35 a.m. Wednesday because he believed the driver might be intoxicated. The driver proved not to be drunk. However, he did have 12 active suspensions of his driver's license, a few convictions for driving without a valid license and no insurance. He was taken to jail.
