Waxing job videotaped

Police are investigating a report from a 28-year-old woman that she was at a beauty facility in the 200 block of West Hickory Street about 12:30 p.m. Monday. She was undergoing a Brazilian wax procedure to remove hair from an intimate area when she realized that someone was videotaping the procedure.

100 block of Maple Street - Police took a r5eport about 10 a.m. Monday that a man is directing funeral services without a license. An investigation is ongoing.

2300 block of Palmer Street - A man attempting to serve civil law documents was met at the door by a pistol-wielding relative, he told police Monday afternoon. The victim said he knocked on the door of the house of a woman he was paid to deliver the civil documents to just after 2 p.m. The woman's father opened the door with the pistol in his hand. He told the victim he was "the wrong man to be messing with," and pushed him and then told him to leave. The victim fled to his car, pulled away and parked a short distance from the house. He called 911 and waited for officers to arrive. Meanwhile, the suspect got in his vehicle and blocked off the victim's car. The victim tried to back away and accidentally struck a passing car. The suspect fled in his vehicle before the officers arrived.
