Officer Proves Woman Wrong About Leaving

A woman swore that no one could make her leave a motel where she wasn't registered Wednesday afternoon, but an officer proved her wrong.
The officer received a call from the Knights Inn in the 600 block of North Interstate 35 about 2:30 p.m. The manager said he was trying to make a woman leave who was causing a disturbance and was not a registered guest. When the officer arrived he could hear the woman cursing the manager.
The officer noted that he told the woman to leave at least six times and she said that no one could make her. The officer placed her in handcuffs, charged her with criminal trespass and took her to jail. A man who was with the woman also was taken into custody on outstanding warrants.

Other reports

1900 block of Sam Bass Street - An officer responding to a report of a family violence disturbance found a 22-year-old woman with choke marks around her neck and bruises on her face, neck and back. She showed the officer a bite mark on her arm as well. She said her boyfriend attacked her because she wanted to return to her own apartment.
The boyfriend denied having assaulted her, but he had two prior arrests for the same offense and a pending court date for one of them. The officer took him to jail.
