Texas Chainsaw Caper

A 77-year-old man reported to Denton police Tuesday that someone stole two chainsaws out of his car while it was parked in his driveway in the 1900 block of Nevada Street the night before. He had no suspect information.

2600 block of West University Drive - A plumber at a store under construction reported that when he arrived at work early Tuesday he discovered that someone had somehow reached a 16-foot ceiling and cut away 60 feet of copper pipe the night before.

2700 block of Colorado Boulevard - A man braved the chilly waters of an apartment complex swimming pool Tuesday night, he said, and when he got out his IPhone was missing. The man said he was attending a pool party. About 9 p.m. he left his phone on a table and jumped into the pool. It had disappeared by the time he emerged.

2500 block of Louise Street - An officer responding to a report of criminal mischief late Tuesday night found that someone had thrown a large concrete block through the back windshield through a 24-year-old man's back windshield.
